CHUNKY 1.4 Carat Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Antique 14k Gold Pendant Victorian Bezel Set Dangle
ABOUT:
Beautiful antique 4 stone dangling pendant set with chunky old mine cut diamonds totaling around 1.4 carat in milgrain bezels. Crafted in all 14k yellow gold, vs. many from the period that are topped in platinum or silver. This Victorian era piece is all in gold with a loop between each pair of diamonds to allow movement and dangle.
Bezels are in good shape so it is ready for regular wear! No damage.
Found in France with their hallmark for 14k on the loop.
Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
The largest bottom diamond is about 5.6mm, totaling around 0.8 carat alone. The center stone is 4.5mm and about .46 carat. The smaller two at the bale are about 2.7 and 2.5mm for a total carat weight on the piece of about 1.4 carats for all four stones. I do not remove stones from the settings for exact measurements so this is an estimate.
The pendant is 22mm top to bottom. The pendant weighs 1.35 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Very nice sparkle and slightly soft hues to the diamonds, some of which is accented by the yellow gold settings. Two of the stones are eye clean but the largest diamonds has a triangular crystal inclusion of reasonable size that has a slight warmth along with a smaller carbon spot. These are eye visible if you are looking for them. The top diamond also has some fainter natural inclusions giving it some frosty spots.
No damage. The settings are excellent. Ready for regular wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
