SAPPHIRE Vintage Art Deco Transitional Cut DIAMOND Platinum Floral Cluster Blue Pendant on Silver Chain Necklace Something Old Blue

Art Deco geometry, fabulous sparkle, a 3D presence with the domed top, and little slices of pie shaped natural sapphires on the outline for a pop of blue!
The design has a sort of floral starburst pinwheel pattern to it. Really incredible sparkle with the 21 old cut diamonds set in platinum, the largest in the center and then two on each "petal." How great would this be for a bride?! Something old and something blue. But at the same time also appropriate for regular wear dressed up or down! Lovely little milgrain details on each petal and bezel as well.
The diamonds are transitional cut, from the Art Deco period, a beautiful accent to the small sapphires that are tucked in between each petal. The loveliness continues when you see the pendant from the side - the way the top and bottom dome, the bottom with open work scrolling filigree details. This one looks like it was a slide or scarf clip in antiquity, that was converted to a pedant so the bale is later.
The pendant is all platinum. I found it in France and it has the French stamps on the loop and back for platinum. It comes as pictured on a silver chain which has the French silver stamp on it. It came to me this way and they look nice together so I thought I'd sell them as a complete necklace, although a platinum or even a yellow gold chain could easily be swapped in.
Please note the measurements as it is difficult to determine scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Chain is 15 inches long stretched end to end. The pendant is 17mm in diameter and 25mm north south with the bale. It has a depth of 7.8mm with the domed top and bottom. It weighs 3.85 grams. The chain weighs 2.8 grams and together they are about 6.7 grams.
The center diamond is about 4.8mm and about 0.45 carat alone. Each of the ten petals holds a larger diamond at the end that is 3-3.2mm and a smaller stone that is 2-2.1mm each. Total carat weight is right around 2 carats in diamonds alone. This is an estimate measuring them while set.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
From the side view you'll see it leans forward slightly due to the domed top but this does not occur while wearing, it rests beautifully against the decollette and is nice and stable to stay put quite well.
Typical older diamonds cut in more limited supply with slightly varying hues. Overall well matching, one of the larger diamonds at about 8 o'clock reads a slight bit warmer in certain light but with normal wear this is not noticeable. You can see it in the direct sunlight pics which show the hues a lot more than ambient light. Fainty frosty inclusions, an icy area here or there seen mostly under magnification. I don't see any glaring areas and no inky carbon spots. No damage, just age appropriate surface wear. No chips at all, the stones are in really nice condition.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
