Teensy Tiny TULIP Antique Georgian Era Clasp Extender Connector 14k Gold Old Mine Rose Cut Diamond Silver Figural Necklace Bracelet Parts
I take regularly scheduled inventory trips to Europe to offer you a selection of carefully curated antiques. These have all been hand picked one at a time and most are one of a kind.
ABOUT:
The teensiest tiniest little tulip clasp. What a sweetie!
Gemset clasp set with diamonds from the Georgian period. The center stone is an old mine cut, with three little rose cut diamond accents. I got this one in Sweden last year. Selling it for what I paid for it as I bought it because I liked it and wanted to give it a new life.
This one has the tongue insert with a loop on each end. It's a great connector and functions perfeclty as a clasp. It could also be worn as a pendant where you attach a chain to each side and wear the clasp to the front since the clasp portion is hidden. Works as a bracelet part as well. Or you can hang one side from a chain and add another little dangle or drop charm from the other end, so lots of options.
I always love finding these little antique parts because there are so many reproduction bits and bobs that flood the market, where this one is an actual antique one of a kind little doodad. : )
No hallmarks remain but crafted in 14k, the diamonds are set in silver collet settings with closed backs. 200 year old piece, it gives a nice antique look in the neckmess / neckstack with beautiful coloring.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person.
Antique Boxes, props, hooks, chains, mice : ) not included. I just used some staging chains to show examples of how to wear.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Weight is 0.6g
12mm x5.5mm. Dainty little thing!
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Missing one tiny diamond chip on one of the petals but I felt a repair would stand out more than just wearing it as is, since it's so small and has its original patina
Sturdy and ready for use. Snaps closed and stays closed. Antique patina. Note the tiny loops. A very dainty gauge loop would need to be added to incorporate into a chain.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
Thanks so much for looking at my items!
