Unique Antique Asymmetrical Floral Ring Art Deco Transitional Old Single Cut Diamond 14k White Gold Swirled Square Bezel Double Band Stacker

Unique Antique Asymmetrical Floral Ring Art Deco Transitional Old Single Cut Diamond 14k White Gold Swirled Square Bezel Double Band Stacker

I am back from my inventory trips to Europe and listing an assortment of hand picked antique jewelry which I have selected one at a time from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:

My dealer friend and I were going goo goo gah gah over this one. She found it and originally wanted to keep it. I bought it from her and now I want to keep it. : ). It's just that we love stackable diamond bands and this antique beauty has such a wonderfully unique design and sparkle! I've been wearing it all month with a rich yellow gold donut band because I love mixed metal stacks and just love the finger coverage and ornateness to it.

The piece holds two larger transitional cut diamonds set asymmetrically in square bezels. From there extends swirling leaflike details to the right and left set with old single cut diamonds. It's a diamond band but wow do the additional flourishes make it unique and uncommon.

Art Deco period piece crafted in and hallmarked for 14k white gold. The shank is nice and sturdy.

Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
size 5 1/4.
It weighs 2.8 grams.

Ring face 10.5mm north south.

The larger transitional cuts are about 3.7mm each. The ten old single cut diamonds are about 2mm each. I wouldn't remove the stones but somewhere around 3/4 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with faint natural inclusions, a frosty spot here or there. One of the larger stones appears a bit more milky than the other but this is really seen only under magnification. Nothing glaring as the stones aren't that huge. The bezels look great, one or two worn bead prongs but the stones are stable so it's something to keep an eye on over time with antique rings with multiple small stones. There's a little bit of solder irregularity to the outside shoulder in one spot, like bubbles that created a little uneven area but there is no repair there or anything so it must have been done when it was made. I do not notice it while wearing but you could seek it out.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I would be delighted if you'd follow me in my shop. Thanks for stopping by!
