Vintage Two Carats Marquise Navette Cut DIAMOND Full Eternity Hoop Ring 18k Gold French Band Asymmetrical Angled Stacker

Vintage Two Carats Marquise Navette Cut DIAMOND Full Eternity Hoop Ring 18k Gold French Band Asymmetrical Angled Stacker

ABOUT:
Mega sparkle and fun geometry! This vintage diamond eternity band is crafted in 18k yellow gold with 24 marquise navette cut diamonds prong set all around. Rather than having the diamonds set perfectly north south, they are angled. Also fun to find an eternity with the marquise cuts instead of the more common rounds.

Very versatile piece for layering, the piece holds up the twenty four diamonds showing them bright white and sparkly amidst the glowing yellow gold setting. The diamonds total over 2 carats total weight in diamonds.

No hallmarks remain but sold to me as 18k which is the standard in Paris, France where I purchased it, (always from reputable friend sources), and tested to confirm.

I had a lot of fun mixing and matching this one with other pieces, pairing it with gold or other diamond bands, both new and old.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7, a little over.

The twenty four diamonds each measure about 4.7x2.5mm give or take, some slightly larger and some just a shade smaller for a total carat weight of two carats conservatively, likely closer to 2.5 but selling on the conservative end to be safe as I wouldn't remove them for exact weights and there is some slight variation from stone to stone.

The ring face is 5.2mm north to south with the prongs on each diamond and stands 2.6mm off the finger. It weighs 3.65 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No damage, the diamonds are nice and bright with no dark carbon. A bit of build up behind the stones where it is hard to reach, and some faint frosty inclusions really only under magnification. It has a wonderful bright white and sparkly presence.

Each stone is held by a sturdy prong on each of the pointed ends. These come into contact with the adjacent fingers and feel blunt and can sometimes catch a bit on clothing fibers. This is not a condition problem as it was always this way and was made this way but just something to consider as it is wide on the finger and rubs against the insides of the fingers with movement. If it were paired with a chunkier band in a stack, this feeling is lessened because adding a smoother piece adjacent to it lessens the rubbing affect.

Thanks so much for looking at my items!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
