ANTIQUE Victorian Sunny Yellow 3.4 Carats Old Cut Natural Citrine Three Stone Band French Ring 18k Gold Oval Classic Crown Prong Setting

One of my favorites in awhile - these citrines, aside from their gorgeous hues, have a wonderful sparkle to them! Nice sized stones, all old cuts, in this all original French antique ring from the Victorian period. The end stones have a pale yellow lemony color while the center stone has a bit richer of a hue, just a bit more goldenrod in color. Each set in delicate crown prong settings. Beautiful color and light reflectivity - it's just such a happy piece! Very spring summer, but with the yellows stretching into autumn and providing sunshine on a winter day.
Found in France with their hallmark for 18k.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 5. It weighs 2.1 grams.
The center citrine is 9.5x7.3mm, around 1.6 carat conservatively. The end stones are 7x6mm, around .9 carat each, around 3.4 carats total. I would not remove them so this is an estimate.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Beautiful old cut stones. Some wear to the table facet edges but the tables and side facets themselves have a wonderful sheen and polish and a beautiful sparkle. It's in better than most condition considering what we usually see for pieces of this age, but please see photos to determine your opinion.
Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Many prongs surround each stone. They are dainty and some show wear as expected for age, but the stones are all still well held. Some are completely worn back but it doesn't need so many to keep the stones in place so the ones that remain do the job. This is again a case where it could be fortified but it would be shame to overwork the piece and add blobs of gold to the tips on the ring face because it's so beautiful and delicate the way it is so we always want to do the minimum possible with these antiques vs. making then "like new" .
Amazing coloring. This one is pure joy.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
