Color Change Indigo Purple Blue SAPPHIRE or Alexandrite? East West KITE Lozenge 18k French Vintage to Art Deco Ring Geometric Stacker Band
ABOUT:
This one has such a fun cut and color! East west kite shaped lozenge / panel ring in two color 18k gold. The bluish purplish indigo colored stone has lighter steel blue reflections in some light and is orange under a blue light.
Assumedly synthetic and selling it as such - the stone is in near perfect condition with a gorgeous sheen and polish with its unique and eye catching custom cut. It tests in the sapphire range on a gem tester, my tester doesn't have a test for alexandrite but it reads high on the gem tester scale.
French vintage piece in 18k yellow gold, the diamond shaped bezel setting props up the stone with contrasting white gold straps at each shoulder.
Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.

4mm tall at the ring face. 8.3mm north south and the stone is 12mm east west.

Offered in excellent pre owned condition.

These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
